ABOUT
Welcome to the E-Portfolio for Thomas Schlager Wilbur.
I am currently the Senior Director of Public Affairs at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) leading our strategic development of industry messaging, research, and political messaging. Additionally, I spearhead engagement with our Federal advocacy team, work closely with consultants, external and internal stakeholders, and provide leadership and support across our entire public affairs team.
Prior to joining PhRMA in 2019, I worked on Capitol Hill and on political campaigns for eight rewarding and productive years – most recently responsible for communications, campaigns, and strategy for U.S. Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI) and the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
I began my career interning for then-U.S. Rep. Dave Camp (R-MI) and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Prior to those experiences, I served as a Michigan Senate Page, College Intramural Sports Supervisor, and youth baseball umpire. My first job ever was bagging groceries at the local grocery store. Yes, I’ve come a long way.
I am a native of Okemos, Michigan and live and work in Washington, D.C. with my lovely wife and rescue dog. Outside of the office I love spending time with friends and family and am an avid reader, runner, hiker, and golfer.
